Who knows what kind of salamander this is?

We saw these salamanders in Germany, there are many pictures of salamanders on the internet but I couldn’t recognize them.

They lay in a pool of water in tractor tire tracks in a pine forest.

Answer

This is the alpine newt (Triturus alpestris) which is also a fairly common salamander with us. They look ordinary in murky water, but they have a beautiful slate gray color with a yellow-black center stripe at the top and a spectacular orange belly.
