Everyone should recycle, I think, but are there also disadvantages? I can only think of one or two benefits, but are there more?

Advantages I think:
– raw materials and energy savings and, consequently, fewer Co2 emissions, less energy consumption, fewer raw materials that are lost (eg trees).
Cons?
Reuse remains better, after all, raw materials can be reused, but energy must be used again for recycling. The quality of some products deteriorates (e.g. PET bottles, paper) and the reuse is therefore not endless. So sometimes it could be more economical not to recycle (eg if we were to make shoes from grass, it would cost more energy to collect them and the raw material is still almost endlessly available). I don’t see any other drawbacks.
