How many regular pints (25cl, 5% alcohol) correspond to a bottle of Gordon beer (33cl, 10% alcohol)?

Extra question: What can beer be mixed with? Also with things other than coke? I never drink myself to death, just a pint a day. I wondered how much that heavy beer from Gordon (10%, 33cl) corresponds to a regular pint (5%, 33cl). Is 1 bottle of gordon = 2 regular beers or is gordon = 2.5 beers or even 3 beers?

Answer

Hello Kurt,

A regular pint of 25 cl contains 5% alcohol. That is 1.25 cl of alcohol. Your 33cl Gordon contains 3.3 cl of alcohol.

So a Gordon equates to 2.64 pints, if you’re interested in the alcohol. But your Gordon is only 1.25 pints when you consider the water in it.

You need a larger glass for your Gordon. And to get home afterwards, more BOB.

Beer can be mixed with any drink. You can also do beer with rabbit and stew. Beer was invented in times of plague and cholera, when water was polluted and unboiled was a danger to public health.
