How come you can float on water?

Answer

Not an easy question 🙂

First you have to ask yourself why we don’t float through the air, but keep falling to the ground. The reason for this is gravity. The globe attracts all objects to itself. That’s why we fall to the ground. Why? No one really knows, that’s true…

Suppose you put water in your swimming pool, and you crawl into it yourself. Both you and the water are pulled down by the earth. But only 1 ‘thing’ can really be at the bottom. Either you are lying on the bottom, or there is water in that place. What weighs the heaviest, the earth will pull harder, and will therefore lie on the bottom. Since water weighs slightly heavier than you, the water will ‘lie’ on the bottom, and you on the water.
