(Image: Apple / Edit: OMT)
Do you have an iPhone? Then you regularly visit the App Store to download all your apps. You probably think you’re doing everything right, but you can still do better. These are our tips for you.
Whether it’s WhatsApp, Spotify or Instagram, you’ve downloaded them all from the App Store. It is the place where all the apps for your iPhone can be found. You can get even more out of it with these tips.
Three iPhone tips for your App Store
We have three tips for you that will make you a real App Store expert. This way you make optimal use of Apple’s service, which is better for you and even your wallet. Here they come.
#1 Turn on automatic updates on your iPhone
This is perhaps the most important tip. It is very important to continuously update your apps. Not only do they function better, it also ensures that your iPhone is more secure. In new versions, holes in the security may have been closed, so that hackers have no chance.
It’s very simple to turn on automatic updates for your iPhone. For this you go to Settings and then to AppStore. Look for automatic downloads there and check it. This way you don’t have to go back to the App Store to download all your apps.
In those settings you can also indicate whether you want to download the updates via your mobile data and whether you want to automatically download apps that are on other Apple devices (such as your iPad) on your iPhone.

#2 Manage your subscriptions in the App Store
So now you have protected against hackers on your iPhone, it is also time to protect your wallet. You can also manage your subscriptions in the App Store. For example, don’t you use Strava or Netflix? Then you can simply cancel them.
This used to be complicated and you had to do it via iTunes. Now it can be done simply via the App Store. To do this, click on your avatar at the top right of the store screen. Then you go to Subscriptions. There you will see all your subscriptions that are still running and also those that are inactive.
If you want to cancel an app, click on the app itself in that menu. Via Cancel subscription, you can cancel the subscription in one go. Handy to arrange that immediately in the App Store!

#3 Automatically uninstall apps you don’t use
My iPhone is full of apps that I hardly use or don’t use at all and you probably recognize that situation all too well. Still, it’s inconvenient since these apps do use up storage space. Fortunately, Apple has a solution for that.
You can set your iPhone to automatically delete these apps. Just like with your automatic updates, go to Settings>App Store. There you check Clean up apps at. Don’t be afraid, the associated data and documents will not be lost. If you install an app again, it will automatically come back. Handy, so!
