We found this animal on a campsite in France last year. Now, a year later, we encounter them in the house, in the attic and in the bathroom. If this is a cockroach, what is the best thing to do?

This is indeed a cockroach. It is difficult to see in the photo which species it is because I think it is not yet an adult specimen. Now, since you’ve already found several, both in the attic and in the bathroom, this could well mean you’re dealing with an infestation.
