If the bottom of your iPhone is damaged, it can be difficult to unlock the device. You can no longer swipe from bottom to top. If you have a device with Touch ID, this login method may no longer work. Closing apps and switching between open apps also becomes difficult.

AssistiveTouch ensures that you can easily reach important functions on your iPhone when, for example, the top or bottom of your screen no longer works.

You can enable AssistiveTouch through the Settings proceed to Accessibility to go and then on Touch to push. Press Assistive Touch and make sure the slider is green. In the event that the bottom half of your screen is damaged (or Touch ID has stopped working), you may not even be able to unlock your device.
