How to pair Nintendo Switch controllers with iPhone

The handy thing about using the Joy-Cons of the Nintendo Switch is that you can choose whether you use one or two. You can even use the Nintendo Switch Pro controller! How do you connect a Joy-Con to your iPhone? That’s what OMT editor Sabine explains to you below.

First, unplug a Joy-Con from your Nintendo Switch and hold down the controller’s Sync button. That’s the black button on the side of the controller. Wait for the lights to turn on and move. This means that the Joy-Con can be found by other devices, such as your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV!

This is how you connect to Apple devices

Now go to your iPhone or iPad settings and press bluetooth. The Joy-Con will then appear below Other devices. It even says whether it concerns the left or right controller! Press it when it does. Your iPhone will now connect to the controller! Keep in mind that not every game is supported.

To connect the Joy-Con to Apple TV, you go through the same process. Go to your Apple TV settings and open Remote controls and devices. Then press bluetooth. Wait for the Joy-Con to appear and click it. The game session can begin!
