iPhone 15, VR headset and three other Apple products coming in 2023

2023 will be a busy year for all the tech nerds like us. Apple comes with a lot of new products. OMT editor Jeroen Kraak tells us which five products he is most looking forward to, including of course the iPhone 15.

2023 promises to be a great year for tech. We’re going to see a lot of new devices. Some can even have a significant impact on our future. But which Apple gadgets can we expect this year. I’m telling you.

iPhone 15, Apple AR/VR and more

Of course you are curious about which products we are most looking forward to in 2023. Here comes the iPhone 15 and the four others.

iPhone 15

Let’s start the list with an Apple product that appears in this list every year. I am of course talking about the iPhone and this year it is the turn of number 15. This year promises to be extra special, because it is probably the first iPhone with a USB-C port. In addition, we expect a lot from the A17 chip.

Although the iPhone 15 will probably only see the light of day sometime in September, there are already quite a few rumors. For example, the device may get a different design and the 15 Ultra may be launched. A top model that should make you forget about the Pro Max. Will it really come to that? We will see!

MacBook Pro

Just as certain as the iPhone 15, there is also a new version of the MacBook Pro and then it goes to a 14 and 16-inch model. The design has not been completely updated, because it probably has the same connections as its predecessor.

The biggest difference is the processor. The new MacBook Pro probably runs on the M2 Pro or M2 Pro Max chip. Given the notch in the top of the screen, it would be nice if Apple came up with a solution for this. A Dynamic Island like on the iPhone 15 Pro would be a great application.

In addition to rumors about the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro, there are also rumors about an Air with a 15-inch size. The new size and a larger battery would be the highlights of that model.

Apple AR/VR

Finally there will be a completely new Apple product of which we have really high expectations. It is now an open secret that we will finally see the Apple AR / VR glasses in 2023, something that has not been talked about for years.

What we already know is that these AR / VR glasses from Apple will use an A-series chip, which we will probably also see in the iPhone 15 Ultra. In addition, the device has Micro OLED screens with 3,000 ppi sharpness.

Because the Apple AR / VR glasses are high-end, they probably also have a huge price tag. You pay more than $2,000 for it.

Home pod 2

Everything indicates that Apple will introduce a new version of the Homepod this year. This time no mini, but just a regular version. What exactly we can expect is the question, but they are probably major updates that are more than some new colors.

Of course, the sound quality must be increased considerably given the enormous competition. In addition, we expect an even better integration with Siri, another point on which the competition is not standing still.

AirPods Max 2

Okay, now we come to the product that raises some more question marks for 2023. Nevertheless, we would like to see it this year. I am of course talking about the AirPods Max 2. The first model came out in 2020, so that was a while ago.

Given the AirPods 3 came in 2021 and the Pro 2 in 2022, it seems like a logical step. In addition, there were already rumors about a new Max in 2022, but it did not materialize.

But what do we expect from the AirPods Max 2? In place 1, of course, improved Noise Canceling. Something we already saw with the AirPods Pro 2. In addition, a major quality update is also obvious.
