How your iPhone can help you sleep better

Everyone knows that a good night’s sleep is extremely important, but in practice we don’t always get the most out of our sleep. That’s why at WANT we’ve listed a number of handy iPhone apps that will help you sleep a lot better.

Your iPhone and especially your Apple Watch can track your sleep, giving you a good insight into the quality and duration of your night’s sleep. Yet there is more to get out of these devices, and then with these apps.

Use iPhone for a better night’s sleep

Your iPhone’s sleep tracking features are a lot better than they were a few years ago, but there are still some gains to be had. You can do that with an app like Sleep Cycle. You fall asleep to soothing background sounds, among other things, and you gain insight into what exactly stands in the way of your good night’s sleep, such as talking or coughing.

A similar app to sleep better is Pillow. You record nightly noises, such as snoring. It also uses a handy algorithm to wake up with. This way your alarm goes off around a certain time. The app finds the right moment. Both iPhone apps are free to use, but also have a paid plan with extra features.

Sleep better with these apps

To sleep well, it is important that your stress levels are not too high. There are a number of iPhone apps that will help you with that. Headspace is a handy meditation app that focuses on science. So no floaty fuss. It’s a nice way to de-stress before going to sleep. The app is free to use, although you unlock more features with a paid subscription.

Instead of Headspace, you can also easily relax with the iPhone app Calm. It is a good app for beginners and a useful tool for performing breathing exercises for your sleep. It helps reduce your stress, and let that be a good step towards a better night’s sleep. This app is also free, but also contains paid features. That’s good sleep!
