Your iPhone is packed with useful features, but according to OMT editor Sabine, there are also a number of irritating features. It’s high time to do something about it. Here are the most frustrating features on your device (including the solution).
With every new iOS version, Apple brings extra features to the iPhone. Sometimes a beloved function disappears as a result, or a function appears that we are not waiting for at all. A number of these functions have crept in recently.
3 frustrating iPhone features
There are a number of features that you would rather lose than rich. Here they come!
#1 New search button on your iPhone
You may have noticed that your iPhone’s home screen has been ‘enriched’ with a search button at the bottom of the screen. On the one hand, it is an easy way to quickly find a message, app or file, but you can also conjure up this search button by swiping from top to bottom on your screen.

An extra (unnecessary) button prompt on screen makes a mess of the tidy home screen. Fortunately, you can turn off the new search button. Go to the Institutions from your iPhone and tap Home screen. Then toggle the slider Show on home screen out under the cup Search.
#2 Back to the old lock screen
The updated lock screen in iOS 16 looks great, but we’re less of a fan of the stacked notifications on the iPhone. As a result, you can no longer view multiple notifications at a glance without tapping them. Fortunately, if you want to go back to the old view, you can.
Go to your iPhone settings and tap notifications. You can see at the top Show as there are three display options: Count, Stack, and List. To return to the old style, choose List.
#3 Never accidentally hang up again
The side button of your iPhone has a hang up function by default. The moment you make a phone call, you can end a call immediately by pressing the on/off button. That can happen by accident, which is of course very annoying when you just have an important call.

With the arrival of iOS 16, a solution has been found for this. You can completely disable this feature. On your iPhone, go to the settings and navigate to Accessibility. Then tap To touch and make sure Prevent ‘Lock to end call’ off state. Please note that you can no longer reject incoming calls via the side button.
