A snapshot is made in no time. This summer, pay extra attention to light and composition and come home with better vacation photos.
Tips for better photos
The light is important for taking a photo. No light, no photo. In addition, shooting against the sun is difficult, for example, and often results in overexposed images. But besides light, the composition is also important. Pay attention to the following things:
- Have a straight horizon
Often people press the shutter button and the camera tilts a little to the right. The result is that the horizon is just not straight. To avoid this movement, hold the camera with two hands: one hand is for support and the other is for printing. - Place the subject off center
A photo is more dynamic if the subject is not directly in the center of the photo. Also place the horizon off center, for example one third from the top or one third from the bottom.
- See it from a different perspective
Many photos were taken from eye level. It pays to bend your knees or stand on a bench every now and then. You then look at the world very differently and get a different perspective. - Make use of lines
Use elements such as rivers, ditches, walls and roads to guide the eye through a photo. Lines also give a photo depth.
