Using the Calendar application on your iPhone or iPad it is possible to manage, plan and remember all your appointments, activities and even reminders. All these appointments can be found in the different views in Agenda, such as day, week, month and year view. The list view is also present, but you have to activate it in a special way.
Using the list view it is possible to view all your appointments in chronological order. The appointments that will take place first are at the top, followed by the other appointments and activities. On an iPad, you can easily view this view by tapping the magnifying glass in the toolbar.
Activate list view in Calendar
If you want to activate this view on an iPhone or iPad, you have to go through a few extra steps to open the list. To do this, follow the steps below, which are available from iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.
- Open the Calendar application for iPhone
- Tap the view icon next to the magnifying glass
- Choose Compact, stacked or details
- Select a day and open the day view
- Then tap the display icon again
- Choose ‘List’
On an iPad, just open the sidebar and tap the three horizontal lines next to the plus button to open a list view.
Do you have an iPhone with iOS 17 or newer? Then you can open the list view in a cumbersome way. Tap the view icon next to the magnifying glass until it doesn’t have a red background. Then select a day from the list and tap the three horizontal lines next to the magnifying glass to give it a red background. A list of appointments opens.
Use list view
Once you have opened the list view, you will have the option in the Calendar app to view all appointments and reminders at a glance through a list. The items are sorted by date for easy reference. Please note that you can only activate this view via the steps above. The month view + list must not be active for this.
