Since iOS 18 and iPados 18, the control panel has been designed differently. As a user you have more options for better matching the Control Center with your way of working. This way you can adjust all regulators and place them in a different place.
In previous versions you had to add the shortcuts via the Settings app to the control panel. This is no longer the case and you can add new parts directly from the overview.
Add regulators to control panel
- Open the control panel
- Tap at the top left of the Plus button
- Choose ‘Add a controller’
- An overview with parts will be opened
- Choose a desired controller

In the overview you will find all available controllers, including a preview of the information that a shortcut can display. Here you will not only find Apple regulators, but also shortcuts of other apps.
Adjust control panel
Once you have added your desired controllers, you can further personalize the Control Center.
- Open the control panel
- Tap on the top left of the plus button or put your finger on an empty room
- Drag the parts to another place

During editing you will find an arc with every regulator in the corner. You can use this to change the format of the controller. This way you can display a shortcut extra large, elongated or already small circle.
Controls in several places
The new controllers can not only be used in the control panel, you will also find the shortcuts in other places. This way you can also link the controllers to the action button on an iPhone 15 Pro (Max) or newer and on the access screen.
