The Netherlands is a cycling country and also the country where most bicycles are stolen. In 2023 we reviewed the Airbell on appletips, a bell for your bike where you can place an airtag. This allows you to view the location of your bike directly in the search my app.
Now two years later the Airbell Pro is available, an airtag is no longer necessary, because the bicycle bell is equipped with a built -in Bluetooth tracker that works together with the Apple Find My Network.
The AirBell Pro
The design of the Airbell Pro has been at least changed compared to the standard Airbell version. The bicycle bell looks like a normal standard bicycle bell that you can buy anywhere. It is a discreet tracker, you cannot be from a distance that you are dealing with a bell that is equipped with a Bluetooth tracker.
A tracker is integrated into the AirBell Pro who receives his food from a standard 3V button cell battery from the CR2032 model. The Airbell Pro is water -resistant (IPX5) and can therefore be against a large Dutch rain shower without any problems.
Installation of the Airbell Pro
You attach the Airbell Pro like any other bike bell, you run the screw on the bottom with a Philips Scrhroedrower and place the bell on the steering wheel of your bike. After this, fix the screw again to secure the bell on the steering wheel. The bell fits on every bicycle handlebar with a diameter of 22 mm.
The position of the clapper is adjustable if you wish. For this you remove the metal part of the bell by pressing it and turning it against the clock. You can now place the clapper in any position (360º). After this, place the metal part back on the base and tighten it.
Airbell Pro link the search my app
Linking the Airbell Pro to the search my app from iOS is very simple. For this you go through the steps below in the search my app.
- Open the search my app on your iPhone.
- Tap on the ‘Objects’ tab.
- Tap the ‘+’ button (behind objects).
- Select the “Add a different object” option
- Remove the battery lip.
- Press the Connect button on the underside of the Airbell until it makes three freaks heard.
- If the Airbell is found by the app, tap Connect.
- Give the bicycle bell a recognizable name and possibly add a symbol.
- A confirmation now appears that your Airbell Pro has been added to your Apple account.
Then you can locate the Airbell Pro with the help of the search Mijn-App and Network and you have access to the functions below:
- Play a sound
- Enable
- Received notifications if left behind
- Anti-stalking
- Report when a strange tracker is in the area for some time
- Share with several people
Battery life and battery replaced
The Airbell works on a CR2032 button cell battery, which you have to replace at most once a year according to the specifications of the manufacturer. To replace the battery, press the metal part of the bell down and turn it against the clock. This works the same as the cap of a vial with safety closure. Place the button cell battery with the ‘+’ marking to the top and put the bell together again.

The Airbell Pro is an inconspicuous discreet bicycle bell with a Bluetooth tracker that mounts you like a normal standard bicycle bell on the steering wheel of your bike. The position of the clapper can possibly be adjusted. Thanks to the IPX5 classification, the bell can handle a sturdy rain shower without any problems.
Once installed and added to the search my app you can view the location of your bike thanks to Apple’s global Find My Network. No special app is needed, everything works with the standard iOS search my app.
