Completely unexpectedly, for the first time, Apple had added a new M chip to an iPad and not to a Mac. In the spring, the M4 chip was introduced in the iPad Pro. Last fall, the chip was expanded to the Mac.
For example, the M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max were added to, among others, a brand new Mac mini, 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro and the 24-inch iMac. The latter was also provided with new colors.
