It is a special way to get users excited about a new Mac computer. Greg Joswiak,Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple, has op X shared that next week Apple has some exciting announcements.
That’s how he writes ‘Mac (😉) your calendars! We have an exciting week of announcements ahead, starting on Monday morning. Stay tuned…’. By this he clearly refers to the arrival of new Macs. On Monday morning, in our afternoon, the first Mac will be unveiled with the help of a press release.
Mac your calendars
Greg Joswiak makes a nice pun on X: Mac your calendars. This clearly indicates that Apple has news to report about the Mac. It doesn’t really come as a surprise, as it was previously leaked that Apple will unveil new Mac models this fall.
Not a Mac event
The fact that Greg now reports that they will report exciting news from Monday, it is almost certain that there will be no more Apple event this year. As with the iPad mini 7th generation, Apple will announce the new Macs via a press release. Most likely several days in a row, starting on Monday.
Macs with M4 chip
At the time of writing, Apple has not yet added the M4 series to a Mac. For the time being, the chip can only be found in the iPad Pro. It is expected that this processor will also be added to other Apple devices next week, including the Mac mini. Below is an overview.
- 14-inch MacBook Pro: M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max
- 16-inch MacBook Pro: M4 Pro and M4 Max
- Mac mini: M4 and M4 Pro
- 24-inch iMac: M4 chip
In addition to adding the M4 chip, the Macs may now also be equipped with 16 GB of RAM as standard. Another innovation is the addition of USB-C for iMac accessories, including the Magic Keyboard. You can read all the expectations in the highlighted article below.
