There have been rumors for some time that Apple may want to add advertising to Apple TV+ and new indications show that Apple is seriously working on this.
In recent weeks, Apple has further expanded their team with leaders who specialize in advertising reports Business Insider. According to the website, the Cupertino company has hired Joseph Cacy, who was responsible for advertising at NBCUniversal. By adding commercials to Apple TV Plus, Apple may be able to offer a cheaper subscription for their Originals.
Commercials on Apple TV+
In 2022, the first rumors were already circulating that Apple might want to add commercials to Apple TV+. After that it became quiet, but new details indicate that Apple is still busy with this. The company has expanded their team with, among others, Jason Brum from DirectTV and NBCUniversal, Chandler Taylor from Peacock and Jacqueline Bleazey who worked for FanDuel. In addition, Joseph Cacy was added to the team, he was advertising department head at NBCUniversal for 14 years.

Now it does not necessarily mean that hiring these people will ensure that Apple will provide their services with advertisements, but it is a logical step. Netflix, Disney+, Videoland, etc. already offer subscriptions with advertising in various countries. These are cheaper and ensure that users can still use their services and there is extra income.
It is expected that Apple will also provide their streaming platform Apple TV+ with a cheaper or free subscription with advertising. Apple may also start working with advertisements on other services. These are designed with the user and their privacy in mind.
