Apple has something new! Starting this Friday, the company will broadcast live concerts via Apple Music. Read in this article what you need to do to be able to follow the Apple Music Festival!
Harry Styles First Artist at Apple Music Festival
As the ex-singer of One Direction, Harry Styles, is about to release his third album, Apple Music has come up with something new. Or much more something old revived. Friday evening 20 May (for us: Friday night) the platform will stream the concert of the pop star live. This one One Night Only in New York will be available here in the Netherlands around 3 am. There are also repeats the next day around 17:00 and around 22:00 (Dutch time).
In addition to the concert, intended to help people get used to the live experience again after a void of lockdowns, there is an interview with radio DJ Zane Lowe about the making process of the album. Harry’s House†You can also get the record here presave. Doing this will automatically put the album in your library when it’s out.
iTunes Festival is no more, Apple Music is taking over
While this form of live concert performance is new to Apple, it’s not the first time Apple has interfered with performances. In 2007 it hosted the iTunes Festival in the UK. From 2015 it was called Apple Music Festival and, as mentioned, this concert series came to an end in 2017.
Until now! While it’s coming back digitally, we’re happy that Apple is back to doing its best for musicians. Once the company was discredited because it had unsolicited the new U2 record on your iPhone and iPod. So Apple is not averse to a little promotional work for musicians.
This is how you watch Harry Styles’ live concert
You don’t have to do anything special to watch the concert. All you need is an Apple Music subscription. At the time of the concert, go to the Music app on your Apple device and there you will find Harry Styles live. It is unknown whether the concert will remain on Apple Music afterwards. You can watch the show in all 167 countries with Apple Music.
It’s great that Apple’s streaming service goes just a little further than its competitors. Of course this streamed concert is not the real deal, but it can get you excited about a new artist. You might find your new favorite artist in this series of concerts. And that from your lazy chair!
