Apple shows new iPad, iPad mini and iPadOS 15

Apple today announced a new version of the iPad and iPad mini. Here you can read everything about the new products, the price and the release dates. Apple also showed iPadOS 15.

New iPad

The new iPad gets the new A13 chip as a power source, a 10.2 inch screen and a better front and rear camera. This iPad will receive support for the first generation Apple Pencil and the device has 64 GB of storage. Apple showed off the True Tone feature. Thanks to True Tone, the screen adapts to the color scheme of the room in which you use the device. This will improve the viewing experience.

The new iPad from Apple is available from 389 euros (wifi + cellular version from 529 euros) and appears in the colors silver and gray. You can pre-order from today, the new tablets will be delivered from September 24th. A 256 GB version will also be available.

iPad mini

The smallest variant of the iPad also gets an upgrade. This variant of the mini will have an 8.3 inch screen (with a brightness of 500 nits) and will be better than its predecessor in terms of performance. Apple promises a performance gain of 40% in the CPU area, in terms of GPU, the iPad Mini should have a performance improvement of 60%. The Touch ID button has been incorporated into the power button and both the front and rear cameras have been improved. Both are now 12 MP. In addition, the mini can record in 4K and the device supports 5G, USB-C and WiFi 6.

The new iPad mini is available from today for 559 euros (Wi-Fi + cellular version from 729 euros) and will be available from September 24 in four different colors.

iPad OS 15

The iPad’s operating system is also getting a new version. iPadOS 15 will make improvements to multitasking, widget layouts, and FaceTime calling. In addition, iPad OS is making improvements to the Notes app and the Translation app will be available for the iPad.
