Apple has determined that the rear camera may not be previewing on a very small percentage of iPhone 14 Plus devices. Affected devices were manufactured between April 10, 2023 and April 28, 2024 and are eligible for free repair.

Do you own an iPhone 14 Plus? Then you may be eligible for a free camera repair. In fact, Apple has determined that the rear camera may not be previewing on a very small percentage of iPhone 14 Plus devices. Below we explain how to register your iPhone.
- Find the serial number of your iPhone 14 Plus, this is how you do it
- Go the iPhone 14 Plus camera service program web page
- Enter the serial number in the appropriate field
- Click ‘Submit’
- The serial number is checked
Service process
Affected devices were manufactured between April 10, 2023 and April 28, 2024 and are eligible for free repair. If your iPhone 14 Plus is not eligible and was produced outside this period, it will be excluded from the service program.
Choose one of the options below to have your iPhone 14 Plus repaired. The iPhone is examined prior to each service to verify eligibility for this program.
- Find one Apple Authorized Service Provider.
- Make an appointment at an Apple Store.
- Contact Apple Support to arrange a service request through the Apple Repair Center.
Note: If your iPhone 14 Plus has damage that affects its ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked back glass, that issue will need to be resolved before service. In some cases there may be costs associated with the additional repair.
The program covers eligible iPhone 14 Plus for three years after initial use of the device.
Refund after repair
If you think your iPhone 14 Plus is affected by this issue and you paid to have your rear camera repaired, you can contact Apple for a refund.
Additional information
Apple may refuse or limit repairs to the original country or region of purchase. For iPhone 14 Plus devices purchased in EEA member countries, the service is available in other EEA member countries. This Apple Global Service Program does not extend the standard warranty coverage of the iPhone 14 Plus. Consumer rights are not affected by this program.
