There are many tools to copy or synchronize files and folders to different drives, but often these are cumbersome applications. However, Bart is a simple and portable tool that lets you do what it is all about without frills: transfer your data quickly and securely, your way.

After you run the exe file, you can immediately start the first backup or create sync task. It is sufficient to give the task a name and indicate both the source and destination folder (also network folders), but you can also adjust the task in various ways and in many cases that requires no more than placing (or remove) from a check mark.
Job options
You can indicate whether you also want to transfer subfolders to the destination folder, and via a check mark at Safe Mode you can make it a one-way synchronization. In this case, data in the destination folder is never deleted. You can even specify that only new files may end up in the destination folder.
The ‘fake’ mode is also useful. You will then receive feedback on what exactly would happen when the task was performed, but no actual file operations take place. If you set it this way, files with a time difference of less than an hour are considered unaltered; a pity that you cannot set this time difference yourself.
You can keep hidden (system) files out of your copy or synchronization operations, but you can also place your own folders or file extensions on the exception list.
Conclusion
Anyone who regularly wants to back up or synchronize folders to another disk or network location (in one or two directions) has Bart a reliable and easy to use tool. It is certainly not the most advanced application, but we can imagine that it is a relief for many users to work with.
