As the name suggests, this is a MagSafe version that allows you to charge the iPhone magnetically wirelessly with a maximum power of 15 W. But it doesn’t stop there, you can also fast charge the Apple Watch with this charger. We tested Belkin’s 2-in-1 Magsafe charger. And it turns out, it is an ultimate charger for Apple users.
More and more MagSafe
Since the launch of the iPhone 12 (Pro), there are more and more products on the market that support MagSafe. Not only is the magnetic ring added to many accessories, exclusive charging options are also finding their way to consumers. Belkin has widely embraced this technology and sells various accessories with this magnetic technology.
MagSafe is more than a magnetic ring to attach the device. Normally the iPhone is limited to 7.5W charging via Qi, but MagSafe products (now also Qi2) support fast charging up to 15 W, which means your device can charge 1.5 times faster. A manufacturer must have their products approved by Apple and only then can they carry the MagSafe quality mark.

The charging station is equipped with an adjustable MagSafe 15W wireless charging surface for the iPhone and a fixed charging module for the Apple Watch with fast charging.
You connect the charging station to the mains power using the supplied 30 W adapter. So you only use one power point to charge multiple devices at the same time. A great solution for a bedside table or desk.
Stylish charging station
Belkin has chosen a special design for the new BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 MagSafe charging station. Round shapes, soft casing and shiny stainless steel finishes on the charging puck for Apple Watch.
The surface is made of soft silicone that is reminiscent of Apple’s silicone cases. This makes the surface matte, soft and special. The disadvantage is that dust particles and hair stick more easily to the housing.
The charger has an adjustable MagSafe charging disc that you can tilt from 0 to 70º. This allows you to charge the iPhone in any direction and desired position. Place the charging disc horizontally to charge other smartphones or Qi-enabled devices, for example a set of AirPods with a wireless charging disc.
Fixed Apple Watch charger
Belkin has chosen a fixed position for the Apple Watch. You can charge the smart watch in landscape orientation at the back. You can magnetically attach the Apple Watch to it and the charger will do the rest.
You can charge both the smaller and larger models, including the Apple Watch Ultra. Due to the design of the Watch Charger, there are limitations, for example you cannot use the night clock mode for the Apple Watch.
Fast charging for Apple Watch
More and more Belkin products are getting support for fast charging for Apple Watch. The charging station in practice
The charging station is available in a sand-colored and dark gray finish and the underside has a non-slip coating. When you remove your iPhone from the charger, the charging station remains stable and you can remove the iPhone with one hand.
The magnets for iPhone and Apple Watch are strong enough to stay in place. The charger is not equipped with an LED indicator, the product that you place on the charger must indicate the charging status. This is clear for an iPhone or iPad, but with the AirPods it is not always clear.
Thanks to the smart design of the adjustable charging disc, you can charge the iPhone in different modes. The viewing angle is adjustable from 0-70 degrees. This also allows you to use the iPhone in standby mode.
Use of covers
If you want to use a case in combination with the iPhone or AirPods, that is no problem, as long as it is not thicker than 3 mm. So you don’t have to remove the case if you want to charge a device. It is recommended that the iPhone case has a magnetic MagSafe ring so that it is powerful enough to stay in place.
Compatibility
It’s no surprise that the Belkin 2-in-1 Magsafe charger is best used with an iPhone 12 (Pro) or newer. You can still use older iPhone models because they have supported wireless charging since the iPhone 8 (Plus).
