The Philips Hue lamps illuminate your home like a boss, but it takes some getting used to that you can no longer use the light buttons in the house. People who visit you will also know that problem. Fortunately, Philips Hue has a solution for that!
Although you can in principle switch off the smart lamps with the light button, you can no longer switch them on in the smart way afterwards. Unless, of course, you use the light button again and dive back into the Philips Hue app or give Siri a command. That takes away from the purpose of smart lighting a bit.
Philips Hue: no more frustration
Philips Hue has various smart light buttons in its range, so you don’t have to lose any clever features in your home. And yet you can still use your old habit of using the physical light switch in the house.
The smart switches work on batteries and can be mounted anywhere in the house without wiring. For example, you can hang them near your existing switches or next to your bed, so that you can easily switch off the smart lamps in the evening.

These options are there
You can choose from three flavors. One of these is a dimmer switch, which can also be used as a remote control. You hang this on the wall and contain buttons to turn the light on and off and to dim it. Philips Hue also has a smart button, which is probably the most similar to your old light button. You can use this to turn your lights on and off, and by holding down the button you dim the lighting.
In addition, there is the new Tap switch from Philips Hue. This has four buttons, with which you can control the lamps in up to three different rooms with one system. You can mount the Tap switch on the wall and also remove the button to use as a remote control.
