Hello, we have a conservatory at home. There is a fig tree in the back of the conservatory. And between the branches of that fig tree grows a vine. Now I have noticed that there are small grapes on the grapevine, and that they are somewhat triangular in shape and they are also slightly incised, just like a fig. The other grapevines in the greenhouse also carry round grapes. Could it be that the grape has been fertilized by the fig tree?
Answer
Dear Neil
Grape and fig are two distinct plant species and absolutely cannot be crossed with each other.
