More and more apps and services use a subscription, for a fixed amount per week, month or year you can use the app or service. In the App Store you can find a lot of apps that work with a subscription. Via these applications you can take out a subscription by means of an in-app purchase.
Subscriptions with automatic renewal include: Apple Music, newspapers and magazines, various apps from the App Store or services such as streaming or music services. You can view or change all your subscriptions via an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV. Of course, you can also cancel them.
Manage iPad or iPhone subscriptions
- Open Settings
- Tap on your name
- Select ‘subscriptions’
Now open the subscription you want to manage. You can now easily adjust it, via ‘Cancel subscription’ you can cancel and stop it.
Do you still have iOS 12.1.3 or earlier? Then you can find the overview via Settings â–¸ your name â–¸ iTunes Store and App Store â–¸ Tap on your Apple ID â–¸ choose ‘View Apple ID â–¸ Subscriptions’.
Changing Subscriptions on a Mac
- Open  ▸ System Settings
- Click on ‘Apple ID’
- Go to ‘Media and purchases’
- Click on ‘Manage…’ under ‘Subscriptions’
The App Store will automatically open and the correct page will be displayed with an overview of your subscriptions so that you can adjust or cancel them. Click on ‘Edit’ next to the service you want to manage and choose ‘Cancel subscription’ when you want to stop it.
