The full interface of CarPlay is aimed at consulting and using apps easily and quickly. Siri in particular ensures that you can quickly activate certain tasks or answer a message or incoming conversation.
Since iOS 17 you can show apps behind Siri so that the current app remains visible during the use of the speech assistant. This way you can stay the navigation according to when you consult Siri.
Show apps behind Siri
With the Siri and suggestions settings in the app of the same name you can enable the ‘Show apps behind Siri’ option. This ensures that applications are no longer blocked by a screen -filling display of Siri.
For example, if you want to send a message via Siri, then a screen-filling representation of Siri and the Message app was always shown. If you enable the option you see Siri in the foreground and the current application (for example cards) remains active in the background and Siri only shows the information you need in the foreground.
