KPN network and 4G

As a Simyo customer, you use the KPN network in the Netherlands. The speed of a mobile data connection is partly determined by the type of network connection. Simyo uses two data networks via KPN: 2G (GPRS/EDGE) and 4G (LTE). Simyo offers 4G as standard (maximum 256 Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload) for Sim Only, Prepaid and telephone subscriptions. The KPN network offers 99% 2G coverage. KPN also has a nationwide network for 4G. look at the KPN coverage map to see where the network has coverage.

Unfortunately, Simyo customers cannot use KPN’s 5G network. It is good to realize that the speeds are not yet super fast these days, because 5G is currently more like 4G+. You can read more about this in the featured article below.

Simyo Complete

If you already have an internet subscription from KPN, you can combine this with a SIM-only subscription from Simyo. You will then receive double bundles every month. Number retention

Like all other providers, Simyo also offers the option to take your telephone number with you. Complete this information when taking out the subscription. You can specify the start date yourself and you will be kept informed of the process via email and text message. Your new Simyo subscription will only take effect when the number is transferred to Simyo.
