Importing photos from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac is a thing of the past. With the macOS Mojave Continuity Camera, any photo or scan you take on your iOS device will instantly appear on your Mac. This is how the new function works.
This is how the macOS Mojave Continuity Camera works
The major update macOS Mojave update is now available and brings a number of nice improvements. Once again, Apple has found a way to make iOS and macOS work even better together.
The Continuity Camera ensures that importing photos or scans or sending them with AirDrop is unnecessary. When your iPhone or iPad and Mac are associated with the same Apple ID, these files will also appear on your Mac without any extra effort.

Activate continuity camera
But before you can use the handy function, you still have to set it up. In addition, Apple has some conditions for the smart sync to work. This is how you activate the Continuity camera in macOS Mojave.
The devices must be associated with the same Apple ID. Your Mac must also be running on macOS Mojave and the iPhone or iPad on iOS 12. Make sure Bluetooth is on and the devices use the same Wi-Fi network. Finally, you need to activate Handoff on both devices. You do this like this:
On the Mac: System Preferences> General> Allow Handoff between This Mac and Your iCloud Devices.
On the iPhone or iPad: Settings> General> Handoff.
