Could God have come into being through evolution (and will we ever become gods ourselves)?

If we have two as many technological possibilities every 100 years. Then we can do 1024 times as much in a thousand years. And we may be on a godlike level.

Answer

Depends entirely on your definition of “god”.

If your definition is “technologically considerably more powerful than the current human(-ness)”, then I think you are correct. It’s somewhat like Hollywood Superheros or even Gods in the tradition of Greek mythology.

If you use other definitions or properties of a concept of God, it probably isn’t. eg the concept of “Creator”, “Universal Love” etc. I do not see immediately comparable due to technological progress.
