Customize the control panel on iPhone and iPad: this is how you do it

Thanks to the Control Center of your iPhone or iPad, you can easily set up a different song, quickly open the calculator or change the screen brightness. It is also possible to add or remove a shortcut yourself. This is how you adjust the Control Panel.

Customize control panel for iOS and iPadOS

The Control Center of your iPhone or iPad is full of handy buttons for quickly activating frequently used settings and functions. What many people don’t know is that you can customize this screen by adding new apps and removing little-used programs.

Customizing the iOS and iPadOS control panel is very easy. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and go to ‘Control Center’. Tap on ‘Adjust controls’ and you will see an overview of the current shortcuts. Tap the red circle to remove these apps (and confirm with ‘Remove’). Press and hold the three dashes on the right to change the order.

Under the heading ‘More controllers’ you will find all available shortcuts. Of course, everyone has their own tastes and iPhone usage, but common controls include Power Saving Mode, Screen Recording, and Do Not Disturb While Driving. If you often pay with Apple Pay, it is also useful to place the Wallet on your Control Panel.

Unfortunately it is not possible to adjust all Controls yourself. Only the shortcuts at the bottom of the Control Panel can be changed. We recommend not to add too many Controls, because the screen will quickly become cluttered.
