Thinnest iPad ever, lighter than iPad Air
The new iPad Pro has a stunningly thin and light design, so you can easily take it anywhere. The 11-inch model is just 5.3mm thin, and the 13-inch model is even thinner at just 5.1mm. At the same time, they are both just as sturdy as the previous design. The 11-inch model weighs less than half a kilo and the 13-inch model is no less than 100 grams lighter than its predecessor. Extremely practical for professionals. The new iPad Pro is available in two beautiful colors: silver and space black. The housing is made of 100% recycled aluminum.

The dimensions have changed slightly, so the iPad Pro is a fraction larger with a slightly higher resolution. That’s why Apple is now talking about an 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro that contains the full screen size. In addition, both models have a USB-C connection, four speakers, four microphones, Smart Connector and a magnetic connector for the Apple Pencil Pro. The iPad also contains magnets to attach smart cases such as the Magic Keyboard.
Ultra Retina XDR display
In recent years there has always been a difference between the large and small iPad Pro. Not only the dimensions, but also the screen. For example, the 11-inch iPad Pro had an LCD Liquid Retina HD display and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, on the other hand, had a Liquid Retina XDR display (same as the previous generation) made of mini-LED. This is now a thing of the past, both iPad models are equipped with an Ultra Retina XDR display.
The ultra-modern tandem OLED technology combines the light from two OLED panels, resulting in a fantastically clear image. The new iPad Pro can display SDR and HDR content with a full-screen brightness of up to 1000 nits, and HDR content with a peak brightness of 1600 nits.

Tandem OLED technology provides extreme control over the color and brightness of each pixel, making the image incredibly accurate. Specular highlights in photos and videos look even brighter, and you’ll see more detail in shadows than ever before on iPad. Interested in an iPad with 1 or 2 TB of storage? Then you can provide the screen with nano-textured glass for a matte finish.
Super powerful thanks to M4
The heart of the iPad, the processor, has been given a mega boost, meaning the iPad will perform even better than it already did. The M4 chip, specially launched for this iPad, once again brings the power of the Mac to the iPad. This gives the Apple tablet a huge boost and allows it to perform complex tasks without hesitation.

Notable changes
It’s not always more that you get with a newer model iPad. Apparently Apple no longer felt it necessary to provide the iPad Pro with two camera lenses. For example, the new iPad Pro only has one 12-MP wide-angle camera with LIDAR scanner and an adaptive True Tone Flash.

Previously, it consisted of a 12MP wide-angle and 10MP ultra-wide-angle camera with LIDAR and True Tone Flash. It also now contains four studio-quality microphones instead of five. Finally, support for a Smart Keyboard Folio has disappeared and you can only activate mobile data using eSIM, the nanoSIM candle slot has disappeared in the LTE model.
Conclusion: Differences between iPad Pro 2024 and 2022
With the new iPad Pro from 2024, Apple has launched a great new iPad to which the necessary innovations have been added. The M4 chip and the new Ultra Retina XDR display with OLED in particular are a huge plus. Especially if you are interested in the 11-inch model. Thanks to the newer design, the iPad is lighter and more portable, but the beloved design is still present.
Finally, an annoyance has been resolved, the Face ID camera is now simply at the top under the charging point of the Apple Pencil and no longer on the side when you use the iPad in landscape orientation.
