Digital referral via ZorgDomain

Digital referral via ZorgDomain

Healthcare providers can now refer patients to each other with a digital referral letter. How does that work?

ZorgDomein enables digital contact between healthcare providers. In a secure environment on the internet, doctors can, for example, call in help to make a correct diagnosis, but they can also refer patients. You will then no longer receive the referral letter to a care provider physically, but you can collect it digitally yourself. If your doctor indicates that he is sending a digital referral letter, check whether the correct e-mail address and mobile telephone number are known at the practice.

If the general practitioner (or another care provider) refers you via the ZorgDomein, you will receive an e-mail with a unique link to ZorgDomein. There you will find your digital referral letter, with all important information about the referral.

Then open the digital referral letter like this:

  • Open the email from ZorgDomein.
  • click on login.
  • Your mobile number has been partially entered. Check the number.
  • click on Send SMS code.
  • An SMS arrives on the phone with an access code. Open the message.
  • Enter the code in the ‘Enter SMS code’ field.
  • click on login.

The digital referral letter opens. It will tell you who referred you, who you were referred to, how to make an appointment, and other information important to your visit to the doctor.
