Hundreds of thousands of Dutch people run into problems when using the CoronaCheck app. From a wrong check mark to the lack of your second shot: this is how you can solve common problems.
Known issues with CoronaCheck app
With the CoronaCheck app you create a QR code to be able to travel or to gain access to an (indoor) event. Unfortunately, this does not go smoothly for everyone.
The Ministry of Health and Sport has now announced that hundreds of thousands of people have (had) problems with the CoronaCheck app and are therefore unable to print out QR codes. Do you recognize the following stumbling blocks?
1. Second sermon not found
Have you already been pricked twice, but do you only see one in the CoronaCheck app? Which can. According to the ministry, about one and a half percent of vaccinations are not fully available via CoronaCheck.
This problem is especially common in people who have been pricked by their primary care physician. They register their vaccinations through a separate system, and that is the crux of the problem. Are you experiencing this problem? Please contact the general practitioner or other healthcare provider who provided the vaccination.
2. Two shots in one day
Also a known problem with the CoronaCheck app: due to a technical error, some people have received the first and second injection in one day. This makes it impossible to generate a QR code via CoronaCheck.
The app developer has acknowledged the error and has since resolved the issue. By logging in again via DigiD, the vaccination data should have been removed again. Is this not the case with you? Then contact the GGD.
3. CoronaCheck has trouble with names
The CoronaCheck app sometimes has trouble with names that contain umlauts or dashes. If these characters are forgotten during registration, the QR code in the app may not be created.
You can check this by checking whether your name (as it is in your passport) matches the name with which the code is created.
4. Human Errors
People make mistakes, but when it comes to something as important as vaccinations, it’s all sour. It is therefore extra annoying that more than 150,000 people cannot create a QR code, because the people behind the CoronaCheck system forgot to check the box that indicates that you have had two vaccinations. Does this bother you? Then it is best to contact the GGD.
5. Too busy on the servers
One of the best-known problems with CoronaCheck is without a doubt the message that it is currently too busy on the servers to create a QR code. The trouble with this notification is that it seems very random.
On the editors of iPhoned For example, it happened that you could create a QR code with one phone. but not with another. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a solution to this problem yet. So there is nothing to do but wait and try again later.
