Does the Internet collapse with the update to Windows 10?

At the end of July, tens of millions of PCs will download +/- 3 Gb to update to W10. How can the Internet handle such amounts of data? Will server centers go up in smoke?

Answer

Best,

Nothing will go up in smoke. It will just take a long time for the data to be delivered to everyone.

After all, the internet consists of connections with a limited transfer speed.

Compare it to the first day of summer when everyone wants to go to the coast. The highways will not go up in smoke then. Long traffic jams only arise because the number of vehicles that can use the road is limited.
