In the second episode of the 2024 World Premiere YouTube series, Ducati has lifted the curtain on the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, according to the Italians the most complete Multistrada V4 ever, for enthusiasts who want to travel long distances with maximum comfort and safety.
A Multistrada V4 S, but equipped with a number of options, that is the new Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour in a nutshell. Although strictly speaking we should say: a decorated Multistrada V4 S with Travel & Radar package, because that was the basis of the Grand Tour.
This means that the GT is equipped with the radar detection developed in consultation with Bosch, with a radar at the front for adaptive cruise control and a radar in the rear for blind spot detection in the mirrors. In addition, the motorcycle has tire pressure monitoring (TPMS) and an extra set of LED lights for when you need extra visibility in the dark or in fog.
In addition, Ducati has integrated the standard side cases into the livery of the bike, which was uniquely designed for this Grand Tour. With a capacity of 60 liters, the suitcases should be large enough, according to Ducati, to be able to take everything with you on longer trips, but no idea what Ducati means by a ‘long trip’. A center stand is also provided as standard.
Comfort on the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is further increased by the standard use of heated grips and a heated saddle for the rider and pillion. In addition, the presence of the hands-free fuel cap simplifies refueling, because you no longer need the ignition key. Something that has always amazed us is why design a keyless ignition if you still need the key to open the fuel cap.
Finally, the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour includes several updates carried over from the V4 Rally. The handlebar is mounted directly on the support, without dampers to eliminate vibrations, creating a more direct driving feeling without sacrificing comfort.
The pillion seat is the model introduced at the V4 Rally, for optimal support on long journeys, and, like the rider’s, is embellished with an external padding with special graphics.
To improve thermal comfort, the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is additionally equipped with heat shields on the swingarm and on the left side of the rear subframe, and lockable channels in the leg area. The compartment for the smartphone is now ventilated.
Like all motorcycles in the Multistrada V4 family, the Grand Tour is also equipped with a navigation system based on Phone Mirroring that allows you to transform the 6.5″ TFT dashboard into a full-color navigation.
Finally, the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour has the Minimum Preload function that was introduced a few years ago, which allows you to lower the engine when standing still and at low speed. The Easy Lift function, on the other hand, reduces the effort required to lift the motorcycle from the side stand by opening the suspension hydraulics when the ignition is ON.
The Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour will be available this fall, for the illustrious price tag from ‘only’ € 31,790.
