EasyPark released a new app with a multitude of new features last week. The improved app is the first in the Netherlands that allows users to park with the same account in their own country and in more than 20 European countries and more than 4,000 European cities where EasyPark is active.
The app better meets the wishes of almost 3 million Dutch users, with more options for starting and stopping a parking action, so that users of the app can decide for themselves what is easiest for them.
Never forget a parking action again
The Start/Stop system, which is favored by the Dutch, where users start a parking action and stop it whenever they want, has not changed. New is the ‘Live Activities’ notification that can be seen on the iPhone’s lock screen.
iOS users can see at a glance whether a parking action is active with this notification. This is an important new addition that ensures that users do not forget to end ongoing parking actions and overpay. Android users can – for the time being – be reminded of ongoing parking actions via push notifications and SMS.

Overview of the most important functions
Below you will find an overview of the most important (new) functions in the EasyPark app.
Live Activities
Live Activities (only on iOS) helps you avoid forgetting to stop a parking action. Thanks to the live notification on your access screen, you can always see that a parking campaign is active.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Integrations for the car
You can now manage a parking action directly from your car’s screen via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Thanks to partnerships with Apple, Google and leading car manufacturers, EasyPark offers a seamless, automated parking experience, straight from your car.
New payment options
Apple Pay and Google Pay are available as standard payment methods in the EasyPark app.
Convenient confirmation screen
A confirmation screen has been added where you can check whether the license plate number, total parking costs and payment method are correct before starting a parking session.
Apple Watch
With EasyPark you can start, stop and monitor a parking action from your Apple Watch.
Choose business or private account
The account selection has been moved to the confirmation screen so that it is more visible to users who use the app for both business and private parking.
Search for parking locations
The map has been updated to make parking locations easier to find; via search or by using the map itself.
Time limit warning
The app will notify you if you set an end time that is longer than allowed in that specific parking zone, and will automatically adjust the parking time before starting the session.
Time setting via the wheel
In addition to the Start/Stop system, users can also still use the option to immediately set an end time at the start of a parking campaign, with the option to extend the parking campaign at any time or to stop it earlier. “For users who want to know the costs in advance, this is an indispensable function in the updated app. New is the intuitive wheel with which this can be set. This is a feature that is widely used in other countries because of its ease of use,” said Stark.
Familiar functions of the EasyPark app are automatic license plate recognition and adding additional license plates. With the added advantage that no costs are now charged for the latter.
Parking and charging for electric vehicles
A new functionality is being made available for electric drivers, which allows you to pay for both parking and charging at the same time. The function is already included in the updated app and will be made more accessible in the near future. The development of this is in full swing. With the growing number of EV drivers and the need to park and charge without hassle, EasyPark is in discussions with partners and is working on a rapid expansion of this network.
