EcoFlow PowerOcean home battery can be seen and purchased in the pop-up store

The Chinese EcoFlow has been active in the field of energy solutions for some time. It has operational headquarters in the US, Germany and Japan and more than 2.5 million users in many countries. EcoFlow has now been active in the Benelux for a year and focuses mainly on energy needs and energy storage in and around the home. PC-Active has previously written about EcoFlow products, such as the standard home battery EcoFlow PowerOcean. It has also been written about the EcoFlow PowerOcean DC Fit, the EcoFlow PowerOcean 3-phase hybrid inverter and the EcoFlow storage converter, which will soon be available.
All EcoFlow products can be seen in the recently opened and temporary EcoFlow pop-up store in the city center of Utrecht: Bakkerstraat 13. A press event took place here on November 23, where Benelux director Richard de Borst, among others, spoke. Below you will first find the just announced products for 2024, including the products that are already for sale (and therefore also in the EcoFlow pop-up store).

Products for 2024
EcoFlow will launch three new products in early 2024: the EcoFlow PowerOcean DCFit, the EcoFlow PowerOcean 3-phase Hybrid inverter and the EcoFlow storage converter.

EcoFlow PowerOcean DC Fit
The EcoFlow PowerOcean DC Fit home battery is an innovative solution for existing solar power systems. This retrofit home battery allows older systems to be upgraded to a more efficient and durable version. The device can be easily integrated into existing inverter systems, making them suitable for energy storage and smart energy management. This system uses advanced DC technology and provides a cost-effective way to maximize renewable energy generation without major modifications to the existing system.

EcoFlow PowerOcean 3 phase hybrid inverter
The EcoFlow PowerOcean 3 phase Hybrid inverter is designed for homes that want to use solar energy and energy storage. This inverter enables integration between solar energy, battery storage and the electricity grid. It supports a three-phase system, making it suitable for larger energy needs. The inverter is equipped with intelligent energy optimization functions, allowing users to benefit from maximum energy efficiency and self-sufficiency.

EcoFlow River 2

The EcoFlow River 2 energy storage device, weighing 3.49 kg, is designed for portability and convenience. Convenient for camping and off-grid situations, the device offers charging options for personal electronics. With two AC plugs and USB-A and USB-C outputs, it is easy to charge various devices. With a fast AC charging time of 60 minutes, it provides rapid energy renewal, minimizing lag. Although compact, the River 2 provides a storage capacity of 256 Wh and a power of 300 W, making it suitable for various energy needs. It can be charged via DC power in a vehicle, AC power from a wall socket, or even via solar power with compatible panels for off-grid charging in about three hours.

River 2 PRO
The EcoFlow River 2 Pro weighs 7.80 kg and is also portable and suitable for road trips or camping holidays. For example, you can use it to power devices in RVs or vans and it can power up to 80% of high-wattage devices, in addition to personal electronics. With a storage capacity of 768 Wh, it can power electronics and has four sockets, USB-A and USB-C, with a power of 800 W (with peak power of 1600 W with X-Boost) for simultaneous charging of multiple devices. Fast charging options include 70 minutes via a wall socket and three hours via a 220W dual-sided solar panel, while it can also be charged via a car adapter or USB-C. With a switching speed of 30 ms during power outages, the River 2 Pro provides reliable power not only for camping, but also for essential home appliances such as laptops or aquariums.

Price and availability
The new products will be available in the Netherlands in the first quarter of 2024. The 5 kWh PowerOcean DCFit has a suggested retail price of 4254 euros and the 10kWh version has a suggested retail price of 7053 euros; the EcoFlow PowerOcean 3 phase Hybrid inverter is part of the PowerOcean package. The EcoFlow Storage converter has a recommended retail price of 1139.00 euros.
