One of the unique features of the Vision Pro is EyeSight. This feature reveals your eyes on the front of your Apple Vision Pro and lets people nearby know when you’re using apps or fully immersed in an experience.
EyeSight is not a one-to-one representation of your eyes, but a virtual version of them based on your Persona. This is a digital version of yourself that is used in video applications such as FaceTime video calls or online meetings. We explain what EyeSight is and how you can set it up.
EyeSight for Apple Vision Pro
EyeSight reveals your eyes on the front of your Apple Vision Pro and lets people nearby know when you’re using apps or fully immersed in an experience. This makes EyeSight only appear when you are wearing the device and others are around you. The feature can be personalized with your own eyes or an impression of your eyes without personalized eye details.
When will EyeSight appear?
Your eyes are only shown on the front of the Vision when you are wearing the device and others are around you. Below you will find an overview of the ways in which EyeSight informs others around you what you are doing on Apple Vision Pro:
- Your (personalized) eyes are shown as soon as someone is around you and you can also see this person in the digital environment of the spatial computer.
- When you talk to a person and can see them your eyes are shown.
- When you’re using an app or in an interactive experience, EyeSight shows an animation (purple-blue glow) to let others know that you might not be able to see them.
- When you take spatial photos and videos with the Vision, capture your view (screen recording), or share your view with others (AirPlay), EyeSight shows an animation to let people know you’re using the camera.
EySight personalized with Persona
When you wear Apple Vision Pro and have captured your Persona, EyeSight is personalized with your own eyes. If you haven’t captured your Persona, EyeSight will show an impression of your eyes without personalized eye details. The quality of your Persona is therefore important to give a good impression of your eyes.
Remove personalized EyeSight
If desired, you can remove your personalized EyeSight so that eye details are not displayed. Your Persona is not affected by this. If you remove your personalized EyeSight, others will still see an impression of your eyes without details, possibly brighter and clearer.
- Go to Settings’
- Open ‘People Awareness’
- Tap ‘Delete EyeSight’
If you delete your personalized EyeSight and want to use it again later, you will need to re-record your Persona.
