Instagram is becoming a lot more social. Now you can add a Chat sticker to Stories to start a group conversation. This is useful, for example, when you and your friends are watching the same TV show and want to chat about it.
Chat Sticker Instagram: Invite your friends to a group chat if you like
Instagram is constantly adding new functions and the app has been improved again today. Thanks to the Chat sticker you can easily create group conversations. The update is rolling out gradually. So it may take a few days for the steps below to work. Here’s how to add a Chat sticker to a Story:
- Open Instagram and add a photo or video to your Story as usual;
- Tap the sticker icon at the top right;
- Choose the Chat sticker, which can be recognized by the text cloud;
- Give a name to the group conversation and give the sticker a good place in your Story.
From now on, people viewing your Stories can sign up for the group chat. Don’t worry: not everyone can access this chat just like that. You, as an administrator, must accept or decline new registrations. That way you can easily create multiple groups with different purposes.
Moreover, you do not have to switch to another app, such as WhatsApp, but you can chat with friends between the pictures. As an administrator of the chat, you can always add and remove participants later. You can also end the conversation at any time. The Chat sticker is especially useful for groups of friends.
