Find iTunes movies with audio descriptions in the Store
Apple cares about accessibility and wants to make all the great things the iTunes Store has to offer available to as many people as possible. More and more films and series are therefore equipped with audio descriptions. This also allows blind and partially sighted people to enjoy it. When you turn this on, what is happening in the image is described as clearly as possible.
To find movies with audio descriptions in the iTunes Store:
For the iPad and iPhone:
- In the iTunes Store, tap the ‘Search’ tab at the bottom of the screen;
- Enter the title of a specific movie here, or use the general terms ‘AB’, ‘audio description’ or ‘video description’ to get a complete selection of all suitable titles;
- Pick a nice movie and check the title page if you like it

For the Mac:
- Open the iTunes Store and search for a specific movie in the top right field, or use the generic terms “AB”, “audio description” or “video description” to see all titles with audio description;
- Choose from the range. In the column on the right you can indicate whether you want to see films or series;
- Check the movie page to see if you can

For the Apple TV:
- First enable ‘Audio descriptions’ by going to ‘Settings’> ‘General’ and then ‘Accessibility’;
- Open the Movies or TV Shows app depending on what you want to watch;
- Search for a movie or show and check the description page to see if the icon is visible. Is this the case? Then audio descriptions are supported. Unfortunately, you cannot get a complete selection of films with descriptions.

Apple cares about accessibility and gives all its products specific functions so that, for example, people with hearing difficulties or a visual impairment can use them. The company will pay even more attention to this in the future.
