Shortly before Google I / O 2018, the search giant’s annual developer conference, kicks off, an update will be available for the Gmail app. It is now possible to snooze emails, and this is how it works.
Snooze Gmail: this is how it works
The new feature is useful when you receive an email, but do not immediately have time to respond to it. By snoozing the email, you postpone it until a later moment to clear the message. The email will then reappear in your inbox. You may know that function from Inbox by Gmail, Google’s alternative mail app.

Postponing an email is simple: tap the message and then the button at the top right (with the three dots) to open the options. Select ‘Snooze’ here and choose a time when you want to be reminded of the e-mail again. That could be later today, for example, but also tomorrow or only at the weekend. It is also possible to choose a date and time yourself, which is useful if you have to answer the email before a certain moment.
New design from Gmail
Gmail recently got a brand new look, with which Google is making some drastic changes. In addition to a fresh design, which looks more modern and tidy, the Snooze button is also included in this update. Gmail also received smart reminders, smart replies for English mails and suggestions for newsletter unsubscribes. You can read more about this in the article below.
