Mubi Apple TV app
“You have asked for it and now the time has come: Mubi is on the Apple TV”, the video service writes in an email to its users. “Now you can watch Mubi on whatever screen you want.”
Mubi is a service that allows you to stream movies, but it takes a completely different direction than its competitors such as Netflix or Videoland. You won’t find thousands of films there, but only thirty. Every day a movie disappears from the service, but one always comes back for it. This way there is always a clear selection (chosen by the compilers of Mubi) from which you can choose.

For real lovers
Mubi is seen as a service for true film lovers. You won’t find major blockbusters there, although you will find well-known films here and there. Mubi is especially for film lovers who want to broaden their horizons. You will find classics such as 12 Angry Men, but also foreign films such as Cidade de Deus. There are also both short and longer works.
The app is free to download, but to use the offer you pay five euros per month. The range in the Netherlands is different than in the United States, for example, but that does not mean that Mubi is completely adapted to our country. Many English-language films do not have Dutch subtitles and foreign films often do so with English subtitles. It’s like going to an international film festival in your own living room.
iOS app
Mubi also has an attractive app for iOS. With this you can also stream videos to a Chromecast on the TV. A handy feature of the app is that you can download movies so that you can watch them offline.
