Google has leaked its all-new lineup of smart security cameras and a video doorbell. The products were shown with images in the Google Store for a while, but when you clicked on them, you did not see any information. We discuss what’s coming.
Leaked Nest products
Google teased its Pixel 6 series on Monday by highlighting some of the features of the phones and already showing images with all the colors of the devices. A very conscious marketing move, even if it is not in Google’s habit. This time the company made a mistake. Earlier, Google announced that a new line-up of Nest cameras is coming this year, but suddenly all those products were in the American Google Store.
A tipster sent The Verge screenshots of the upcoming products that have been showing off in the US store for a while. We are the first to see a new Nest Cam that serves both outdoor and indoor and runs on battery. In addition, there is also a Nest Cam that works outdoor and indoor, but on mains power. Google continues with a special Nest Cam equipped with two floodlights, and finally there is a new Nest doorbell that runs on battery.

Google looks at the competition
None of the aforementioned products had a working link on the Google Store that could have obscured more information. The links of the old Nest Cam Indoor and Nest Cam Outdoor worked, as did the wired Nest Doorbell. Furthermore, the link from the Front Door Monitoring Package also worked, but it led to a page where the old doorbell was shown on mains power.
So we learn that the new Nest Cam works both outdoors and indoors, and you just have to choose whether you want it on battery or AC power. There is also a variant with spotlights, and Google follows important competitors such as Ring, Eufy and Arlo. Moreover, the battery-powered video doorbell is also on the rise, which is why Google is also launching such a product. You can place such a doorbell in many more places and use it for many more purposes, and that makes it attractive.
Prices and availability
At the moment there are no prices of the new products known. We expect Google to introduce the new Nest products in the fall at an announcement event where the final details of the Pixel lineup will also be revealed. It is not yet known when that event will take place.
