Google loves frogs and therefore introduces special Google frogs

If you say Google, you say frogs. The company has a remarkable fascination with our slippery green amphibian. In addition to the well-known ‘I know how to predict the weather frog’, Google now also comes with a wallpaper. Meet the frogs Grinnin, Vibin and Smilin.

Three frogs full of love on your Pixel

At Androidworld we don’t write about frogs very often, but now we finally get the chance to explore the inner Sterrin to let go of us. Did you know, for example, that frogs breathe with their skin, eat with their eyes and that frogs don’t drink? It is a very croaking and jumping animal. In addition, the amphibian is often used as a television star or mascot. For example, who doesn’t know our Rick the Frog? Or the famous muppet Kermit? Three frogs are now added to this list of bk’ers (known frogs): Grinnin, Vibin and Smilin. They will soon be able to show off on the wallpaper of Google’s Pixel smartphones.

New wallpaper

Google is coming with new wallpapers for the Pixel 3 and for newer Pixel smartphones. They come under Google’s Curated Culture theme and are made by autumnalwood† An artist who is active on Instagram, among other things. There are three different frog wallpapers to choose from and they are available now in the Wallpaper and Style app of the Google Pixel 3 (XL), Pixel 3a, Pixel 4 (XL), Pixel 5 and of the Pixel 6 ( Pro).

As mentioned above, they seem to love frogs at Google. You can also find them in the company’s weather app and in a watch face of the Google Nest Hub. Perhaps an upcoming version will be called Android Chickpea or Chickpea, who knows..
