Google Pixel 6 loses signal at random moments

On social media, users are posting about signal issues on the Pixel 6 series. At random moments, the phone suddenly has no range. No real solution has yet been found and Google has not yet acknowledged the problem.

Pixel 6 signal problem

As with every launch of a phone, bugs do appear, and Google’s Pixel 6 series is not spared either. Hundreds of users are complaining about reddit and the Google Pixel Forum about a problem with the cell phone signal. At random moments, the phone suddenly loses range.

It is not yet clear what is causing the problem, but users around the world are affected by it. A solution is therefore eagerly sought. Some have received a replacement device from Google, which was not a solution for everyone. Others had more success requesting a new SIM card from their phone operator.

What is the best solution?

For many users, the problems were more limited when they turned off the Adaptive Connectivity Services in their phone’s settings. You do this via the steps below:

  • type Adaptive Connectivity Services in the search bar of Institutions and confirm
  • Choose Turn of
  • Press turn off app

Still, the ideal solution has not yet been found and it remains to be seen until Google recognizes the error. Presumably, the error can then be addressed with a software patch. On our Pixel 6, we didn’t experience any signal issues. Earlier there was also an error with the fingerprint scanner that has since been fixed.
