Hogwarts Legacy is out today and is a new action role-playing game in an open world single-player. It takes you on an epic journey as a fifth-year student at Hogwarts with a rare ability to wield ancient, powerful magic.
Warner Bros. Games releases Hogwarts Legacy, an action RPG (action role-playing game) where you are a fifth-year student at Hogwarts. Guided by the wizarding field guide and the unique clues of teachers and other characters, fans will discover an interesting story full of exciting challenges and mysteries. Hogwarts Legacy, developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label, introduces an original story that puts the players at the center of their own wizarding adventure. Witch or wizard
In Hogwarts Legacy, players become fifth year students at Hogwarts. At the start of their adventure, players can customize their character with a wide variety of options and choose whether they want to be a witch or wizard. They join or are assigned to one of four Hogwarts houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin), meet housemates in the common areas, and attend classes including Spells and Incantations, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, and Magic potions. There they meet their teachers and learn how to cast spells, grow magical plants, brew potions and much more.
Hogwarts
In addition to the lessons and spells, players have access to a vast array of upgrades, talents, and skills to advance them to become a witch or wizard. They can complete challenges anywhere to gain experience and expand their skills. In between lessons, players can explore a fully realized Hogwarts castle, where they attend lessons, discover dungeons and hidden passageways, and solve challenging puzzles. They develop their character’s skills using powerful spells and combat skills to defeat deadly enemies.
Magic and action
In this open world, players can freely move around Hogwarts Castle and the surrounding Highland area, including new and familiar locations in the wizarding world, such as Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest. The game is full of magic and action: players can fly a broomstick, tame and ride magical creatures, fight against trolls, spiders, dark wizards, and much more. As the story progresses, they discover a vast world full of dangers associated with the wizarding world’s long-forgotten past, and a rare ability that only they possess. Players will also face missions and scenarios that will present them with difficult choices. They have to show what they stand for.
Price and availability
Currently no information about the prices of the different editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy was released worldwide on Wednesday, February 8 for PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This includes 72 hours early access to the game, plus the Dark Arts Pack. The Dark Arts Pack provides access to an exclusive wardrobe via the Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, a flying, rideable Terzier, and access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena, where players can put their Dark Arts to the test against waves of challenging enemies. The physical and digital Standard Editions will be released on February 10 on PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; on April 4 on PlayStation4, Xbox One and July 25 on Nintendo Switch.
