Answer
How the world came to be is a whole story that you can find in many books (which you probably also have in the library of your municipality). I’ll get you going.
There must have been a time when all matter in the universe was packed into one place. The universe would then have arisen about 15 000 million years ago as a result of a gigantic explosion, the big bang, which triggered the current expansion of the universe. 13,000 million years ago, matter in the universe coalesced to form galaxies with millions of stars. Our corner of the universe is dominated by the star we call the sun. Like most stars, the sun is a sphere of sweltering hot gases that formed about 5,000 million years ago. As the sun moves through space, it takes with it a number of planets, moons, asteroids, meteorites, and comets. The sun is now middle aged. In 5000 million years its fuel will run out and this star will slowly die. (We still have a little time.) In this solar system the earth was formed 4600 million years ago. In addition to Earth, eight more planets are held in their orbits around the Sun by the Sun’s gravity. The first primitive life on Earth emerged 1500 million years ago. The first humans emerged about 5 million years ago. Now about 7 billion people live on our planet.
