Dear Krissy, 502 bird species have been observed in the Netherlands since the 19th century. Not all of these birds breed in the Netherlands, of course, the number of breeding birds is 210 (since 1996). In absolute numbers that amounts to (estimated) at least 27 million birds (all species together), when the chicks hatch there will of course be many more…
