Because the latest screens have increasingly higher resolutions and Windows uses a system-wide technology to display text razor sharp, it can be incomprehensible if text does appear blurry. You can do this about it.
Step 1: ClearType Wizard
Windows has been using ClearType to sharpen text since Windows XP. Go to the search box in the lower left corner and type ClearType. This opens the system wizard to configure ClearType. In the first window, the option Enable ClearType be checked. The wizard then checks whether the display is set to the original monitor resolution. The next five screens you will see text blocks where you indicate what you think is the best representation. When you press the button Complete click, Windows will take your ClearType preferences into account.
Step 2: Automatically Better
If even the images are blurry, your monitor may be set up poorly. Right click on the desktop and select Display Settings. Scroll down until you get to the box Screen resolution comes. Select the resolution where (Recommended) next to. Sometimes it happens that Windows makes a mistake in the recommended resolution. So check the display specifications to see if it matches the recommended resolution. Windows also has an automatic feature that detects and fixes blurry text issues. Bee Settings / Display click below Scale and Layout on the link Advanced scaling settings. Here you make sure you turn on the option at Have Windows improve apps so that they don’t give a blurry image. After that, restart your PC for the fix to work.
Step 3: Outdated App
If you only get blurry text in one particular application, it could be a glitch in the app’s compatibility settings. This occurs with software that was actually designed for an older version of Windows or lower resolution displays. Right click on the app and select Characteristics. Use the tab Compatibility and select there Change High DPI Settings. Then check the box for This setting instead of using the option from Settings to troubleshoot scaling issues for this program. Finally, tick the box Override high DPI scalability behavior performed by: Application. And confirm with OK.
